OUTFIT MOST OFTEN WORN: For dancing, leotards or body suits painted/dyed to resemble animals, or nude in body makeup and adornments. More generally, wears "Dewshine" sandals, wraparound dancer's skirt with G-string, breast-band with jeweled dangles. All clothing is in shades of tan and light brown.

PERSONALITY/HISTORY: Crystel was born after the Old Settlement was abandoned and grew up during the trek to find a new home. She found she had a knack for translating wild beasts' movements into dance; thus her first obsession was born. She literally Recognized in the midst of the Sundering; Morli, her intended, drowned before the Recognition could be consummated. Her second obsession, music, resulted as a way of keeping herself from feeling the pain of this loss. She plays both kitar and flute expertly. Temperamental and an artist by nature; she becomes distracted rather than moody as Mikail does. If caught in a good mood, she can be sociable; otherwise it's best to duck. Has little to do with the non-dancers besides party with them; her close friends are all in the dance troupe. Very passionate. She and Mikail are close co-workers who need only look at each other in order to communicate. Crystel is bisexual and always in the mood for experiments. Keeps her body religiously in shape and as flexible as possible. Moderately good at dancing within the corps, but her glory is either in improvisational dance or one of her "animal dances." She is best known for the dance she choreographed of "Falcon in Mating Flight."

Crystel moves to New Hope in the Fourth Millennium and becomes one of the founders of Threetail Household.
