Bondbeast: None, though she has bonded with birds in the past. She is very fond of her lifemate's bond-hawks and gets along with them almost as if she were the bird's bondmate as well. Possibly because, for Feather, the 'hunter in the soul’ aspect is far closer to the surface than it is for Seahawk.
Skills and hobbies: Skilled and patient woodworker and fletcher; excellent archer. Fisher, netmaker. An average hunter and tracker, a rather indifferent tanner. Has become an adept spinner. A skilled musician, particularly with wood-flute and reed pipes. Not a 'showman’ but a capable performer. Sometimes sings; has a large-ranged contralto voice Would prefer not to dance in public. Always willing to learn new skills or help with almost anything if asked.
Clothing styles worn: Prefers simple clothes; has a real dislike for anything "elaborate' or 'fussy', particularly after her experiences at Tower Mountain. Would not be caught dead in any outfit that restricts movement. Would rather go naked than wear something 'erotic’ in public (in private, with Seahawk, is a completely different story). Prefers to wear green clothing with some sort of feather trim. A typical outfit might be: one-piece leaf-green chamois dress with brown leather collar (feather trimmed) and matching hip belt. Leather heelless slippers with a strap. For hunting, dons brown-mottled chamois dress and hides her hair under a kerchief. In cold weather, wears tunic and pants.

Special possessions:Other information: Feather is both as fragile and as strong as the object she is named for, and nearly always publicly appears to be a 'lady'. By nature she is soft-spoken, quiet and somewhat shy, not one to talk much unless she is with close, trusted friends or her lifemate. It is not that she refuses to talk or is unfriendly; it is more that she doesn't say anything unless she things she has something worthwhile to contribute or is answering a direct question. Rarely, if ever, will she speak in Council; that's too public. (She is far more comfortable being the 'influence behind the scenes' than the forthright speaker.)
She is not much of an activist, and makes her own contentment from what surrounds her. Likes to please others and generally puts her best efforts forth in all situations. Likes to make gifts for friends and loved ones. Though she is not a gossip she nevertheless has an unerring finger on the pulse of holt 'goings-on'. People naturally seem to confide in her; it's something that has always 'just happened', all her life. She neither encourages nor discourages this as much as she seems resigned to it. She also seems to attract 'protectors', and has never quite figured this out either.
Feather dearly loves her lifemate and it is obvious that her life centers around him. Down deep a part of her is still somewhat awed that he is really "hers'. She is not the jealous type; Feather knows perfectly well that Seahawk can no more help flirting than he can help breathing -- and is well aware that most elfin women find him rather exotic in appearance. But she also knows that his heart has never strayed since he first truly committed it to her.
Had Feather been born in another place and time, she would have been the romantic heroine who was always quietly certain that somehow, someday, a knight in shining armor complete with white horse would come and sweep her off her feet. In flamboyant Seahawk she has found her heart's desire. (Fortunately, she is adept at ignoring road apples.. yes, she knows full well that Seahawk isn't perfect. Boy, does she know Seahawk isn't perfect. So what?)
It is their very different natures that makes their relationship work so well. He provides the adventure that she does not fall naturally into making for herself, and she provides the base of stability that he lacks. Like 'the bee and the flower' they complement and complete each other. Unlike her lifemate she is very patient. However, Feather has a strong stubborn streak; a tribe of stampeding zwoots will not make her change her mind once it is made up.
She nas a good sense of humor and laughs a great deal, particularly if Seahawk is clowning. (She is also capable of springing a wry comment at him which catches him flat-footed.) Only rarely does she get angry -- but if she is, watch out; she does sport the 'typical' redhead temper, and it burns white-hot.
A quiet strength (and a seemingly incongruous sense of 'danger') about Feather prevents Seahawk from completely out-shadowing her. Since Seahawk is not given to hide his own light under a bushel, it is easy to forget that he is not the more dangerous of the two. Given sufficient reason Feather will kill without hesitation; in fact she is subject to a berserker fury common to her tribesfolk known simply as the 'Rage'. The Rage, a state of mind peculiar to the elves of Never-Winter holt, sprang from her birth tribe's need to 'equal the odds' with a group of water-fearing humans nicknamed the 'Stinkers'. Due to her experiences with the 'Stinkers' (including the death of both her parents, and a fair number of close friends, at their hands) she has no love of humans.
The combination of memories and Rage have made her resettlement in New Hoep extremely difficult; had her love for lifemate and soul-sister (and hope for a better life for her daughter) not proven stronger than her hatred for humans, it is doubtful that she would have ever considered coming to live there. The experiment of relocation would still most likely have proven impossible except that Dove, at Feather's request, has put a hypnotic block in the archer's memory. The 'block" gives Feather some distance and perspective on past experiences, and serves to remind her that these humans are not those humans. She is still not extremely comfortable around the five-fingered race, and tries to avoid dealing with humans when she can; it takes a real effort of will for her to behave coolly and civilly with them.
