OTHER OBVIOUS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES: Round face, straight nose, heavy brows, shaggy sideburns (when he's old enough). Usually smiling, although it varies from the pleasant to the cheerfully maniacal; he can look most alarming when he's excited about something.

OUTFIT MOST OFTEN WORN: Casual, loose, easy-to-move in things; sleeveless in summertime, with beachcomber pants and sandals; warmer in winter--fond of heavy wool coats and mufflers. Until I settle on a name and why I got named that I really can't say much about my early history.” Was initially named Frog because of his inability to sit still and his inclination to chatter. Showed a determination at an early age to be good at everything, and never seemed to take a mistake or a failure as a failure--he just kept trying. “I know Mom's a great hawkrider--well, she is--and Dad's a great weaver. He was a member of the Brightcolor Desert tribe that lives in the Hidden Valley... don't ask me why they call themselves the 'Brightcolor Desert' elves when they live in the Hidden Valley, I never asked. I might sometime. Anyway, Dad was one of the ones who helped out when Mom was captured by them in the Hidden Valley and held hostage. Mom coulda got out like a shot, of course, but she wouldn't leave her friends or Dad, and had to make sure everyone escaped okay. Then she came home and came to live at Startide, for which I am endlessly grateful as it is the best household in New Hope, and she and Dad got together finally and a few years later had me.” His feverish passion for everything and anything won him his adult name of Fever, however, has been tagged with a number of nicknames due to his daredevil tendencies, such as “Leapsfirst” and, from his oldest sister, “Sharkbait” (this latter came from an incident aboard the Cowrie, where he swung from the rigging and hurled himself overboard. Fortunately, there were few sharks, several dolphins, and he swims like a fish, anyway. This recklessness got him thrown off the Cowrie by her stern and serious Captain, Calypso).
Was swimming before he could walk, and is much more graceful in water than on land. Fond of food--and it shows, sometimes. "Anyways, I like to sail and fish and swim and got started pretty early. Mom says I was swimming before I could walk. Good thing, too, because I move a LOT more gracefully in the water. I like to laugh and sing the songs that Dad and Midnight and Catsclaw sing, and I like the New Hope songs and joined the choir. I got a little bit of a reputation as a daredevil 'cause I'm just a teeny bit crazy, but I ain't got myself killed yet. I was a trifle hyper when I was little so Dad tried my hands at weaving to see if I could settle my mind to one quiet task and while I never did get the hang of that, I DID find out I liked gathering driftwood from the beach and carve toys and stuff out of it. I like beachcombin', anyways; all sorts of keen stuff to be found, shells and such. They carve up nifty, too.

He’s also fond of children and loves taking care of the kids at Startide, including his own numerous brothers and sisters as they arrive. He’s a joker, a tease, loves people and life; friendly, compassionate, outgoing, giving, generally a good guy. Appears to have not gotten a trace of his mother’s temper (for which she’s grateful).
