Clearbrook /Savah- Newstar styles.  Wears kerchiefs and hats, too.

Skin:  Naturally fair, but usually tanned
Build:  Lithe; feminine but not overly so (think Moonshade)

Voice quality and speech mannerisms:  Girlish light alto.  Casual
speech; feels uncomfortable using anything else.  Undistinguished
singing voice, so only makes the effort during the choral recitals
Other physical attributes:  Squarish face, mobile expressions.  Cute
rather than beautiful.
Parents:  Leravie, mother; Peysol, father-by-choice; Starblade,
biological sire
Siblings:  None biologically.  Considers Winken a half-sib of sorts
Other relatives:  Shadaln, grandma; Dekan, grandpa (F).  Both are at
Tower Mt.
Current mate:   None, despite Emerel's pleading
Previous mates:    Jublo,  Quicksilver, lovemates
Children:  None
Closest friends:  Frodis,  Jiko,   Suraya, Tumblesides, Vanjir, Winken,
Special talents:  Sending, rockshaping.  Her sending level is average,
the rockshaping assumed to be minor, which bothers Nineki no end.  She
wants desperately to find a serious, powerful teacher.
Skills:  Gardening (has a little garden to supply Greenwillow with fresh
herbs and flowers); pearl farming;sailing; swimming; basic woodslore (ie
how to tell a bear track and which way its pointing, etc).  Learned some
clothing construction and leatherworking from Peysol and Leravie.
Nineki is mainly a holt  go-fer, filling in with whatever needs to be
done.  Currently apprenticed to Avensyn at Tower Mountain
Hobbies:  Jewelry-making from a variety of materials, including ordinary
beach stones and shells as well as gems, and dat ol' blue coral.
Sometimes wins metal scraps off Tumblesides, and will use these as
settings.  Gaming; beachcombing
Weapons:  Learned the basics, as I suppose all New Hope children do, but
not a hunter or fighter
Bondbeast:  None, but occassionally swims with a pod of dolphins in the
bay. "I like them.  Their minds tickle."
Jewelry worn:  Earrings of various materials, most often but not always
her own work; hair ornaments (braid holders, combs, clips, etc).; has an
armband of a gold dolphin, her biggest win off Tumblesides.  Will wear
more and in different styles for festivals.
Clothing:  Varies according to need, activity, and weather.  All her
clothing -- with the exception of her 'grunge' outfit for really nasty
work -- are in good taste (no Razmak Syndrome here -- Peysol saw to
that!)  Prefers warm colors, some greens (often for accents)and
neutral/natural colors.  Doesn't look good in blue.  A little taken
aback by how extravagant the Tower folk dress.
Other special possessions:  Her armband
Personal info:  Nineki is an easy-going, soft-hearted sort, not given to arguments or strident opinions.  An easy touch for favors, as her breaking point is hard to reach; once passed, however, the offender will be subject to a Nineki explosion -- usually in front of the High Ones and everybody, and as embarrassing as possible. (Nineki doesn't  plan  this....it just happens.) So far, Quicksilver has been the only victim.

Enjoys dreamberries and various alcoholic beverages...in fact, she has a strong tolerance for both, and is developing a palate for the latter. (Vanir's encouragement, there).

Nineki, like her mother, is very much a romantic, and watches the lifemated couples at New Hope a little wistfully. She's had a couple lovemates, and joining partners for  "flings", but really wants someone out of the old stories and songs.  She fell into a huge infatuation with Emerel , but lacked the confidence to approach him (she prefers to be courted, in any case) and he never really noticed her.  She was all but over him when Aluli tried to play matchmaker -- with disasterous results.

Friendly, but not overly outgoing; among a Household of strong personalities, she's pretty much an outsider in that respect.  Nineki has trouble asserting herself and sometimes gives in rather than argue something out.  Until recently, this tendency didn't really bother her. Lately, though, she's been wondering...neither a dynamic personality, a tribal elder, or a powerful magic-user, where does she fit in?

For all the growing up children in the Outside must do, Nineki is still rather young.  She's trying to find her own path in life.  New Hope ideals aside, the "tyranny of total acceptance" distresses her; sometimes she feels no one wants  her to better herself, or understand why.  Explaining her quandrary is difficult; she can't verbalize her
feelings without sounding jealous or petty, but her struggle goes deeper than that.

She's been quietly pushing the limits of her Talent, without much growth.  Frustrated by her slow gains, and lack of instruction, Nineki's convinced her power would flourish under a powerful teacher's care.  Unfortunately, all the powerful rockshapers have relocated to the
Tower.  In NH 51, she hitches a ride with Tanyel back to Tower Mt. in search of a teacher -- without telling anyone but Terren.  She's dismayed when Emerel shows up a moon or so later, continuing his pursuit of her.

Tower Mountain is quite a change for Nineki.  Her first impression is of a glamorous world of grace, luxury and beauty.
