Hobbies:  Natural history (to give it a vaguely tech-appropriate name); interested in what lives/grows where, and also what it can be used for.  Music, mostly just for fun / as a social thing.  Sings and plays gitar or similar instrument, but does not compose.  He likes it, other people like it, but it's not an obsession with him.  Also likes to dance, again as a social thing.
Weapons Used:  Sling, bolas, knife (held and thrown).  Prefers the small and easily portable.  Also takes Taiakaari martial arts training.

Clothing:  =Not= a clotheshorse.  Doesn't mind dressing neatly or to make a good impression, but overall prefers comfort to style, and is a conservative dresser in the sense that once he finds an outfit he likes and that looks good, he'll hang onto it like grim death and resist all efforts to persuade him to try something new.

An early taste for exploration and a generally curious mind leads him eventually to a career in trading and long-range scouting.  He may travel with the Rovers and/or the Caravan for a while, learning the ropes; in time he gathers together his own company -- some elves, some humans, and at least one preserver.  They scout previously unknown territory, map and catalog the land they pass over, scope out and sometimes contact new tribes of humans or elves, and bring the results back to New Hope.  They also do trading runs as well as or as part of their exploratory journeys.

Generally comes across well to those his group encounters, because of his straight dealing, but if he runs across what he sees as injustice or abuse, there may be trouble.  (I could see him organizing an Underground Railroad, for instance, or rescuing an exposed infant, or . . . well, all kinds of story possibilities.)  If he can fix things by talking, persuasion, or "making deals," he'll do that, but if talk won't work he'll proceed to action.  Shares his father's hatred of seeing anyone or anything caged.
