Hair Length/Color/Style: Dark auburn, thick and curly and almost
impossible to keep in order
Eyes: Amber brown (brown with gold glints/flecks). When
he's in a "mood" (either up or down), the gold becomes more prominent.
Skin: Cafe-au-lait Height: 4' 3"
Build: Wiry, flexible
Voice Quality & Speech Mannerisms: Good singing voice with
a wide range, has a "smoky" quality; speaking voice is a warm baritone.
Ranges from the voluble to the monosyllabic depending on his mood.
Other Physical Attributes: Wide mouth; strongly marked, slanting
eyebrows; expressive face in general. Physically dexterous and agile.
Large hands with long, sensitive fingers.
Parents: Ceyte, mother; Bugdance, father Siblings:
Collya, Firesong, half-sisters; Mijo, half-brother
Other Relatives: Spago, uncle; also considers Longshanks, Piet,
and Heartseeker to be nominal uncles
Current Mate: Open
Recognized?: Open
Previous Mates: Open
Children: Open
Closest Friends: Ironshackle (see below); others TBD
Special Talents: Moderate level glider; doesn't manifest till
he's full-grown, and he doesn't work very hard to develop it. Good
levitator, gets to the point where he can keep several objects in the air
at once. It's not unusual to come into his workshop and find him
surrounded by an aerial cluster of tools, hanging there until he needs
them.
Skills: Music, of course! Good at a wide variety of handcrafts,
but eventually settles on woodworking as his primary metier. Enjoys
making musical instruments like Mom, but due to the needs of the settlement
he can't specialize as narrowly as she did in the Tower; does everything
from cabinetry to toymaking. Considers music his "art" and woodworking
his "craft." A skilled climber with a good head for heights even
before his gliding manifests.
Hobbies: Music, of course! Singer, instrumentalist, composer,
has an especially strong rhythmic sense and loves to play with rhythmic
variations. Enjoys group dancing when he's off-turn on the podium.
Good at aiming-and-throwing games. Likes gambling.
Weapons Used: Knife, held and thrown; also learns Taiakaari-style
martial arts at some point, though he considers himself an artist and crafter,
not a warrior.
Bondbeast:
Jewelry Worn: Yes. Likes it big and shiny; bracers, pectorals,
concha belts or belt buckles, big, flat earrings, sometimes a circlet or
headpiece for special occasions. Rarely goes for gems, except as
inlay work. Clothing: Definitely a clotheshorse, this one, at least
when in the mood. Likes bright colors and emphatic styles, more than
willing to experiment. Very aware of texture and contrasts thereof.
Other Special Possessions: n/d
Personal Info: Prone to extremes of mood, though not constant swings; he can be on a fairly even keel for some time, then suddenly be either very "up" or very "down." When "up" he is effervescent, merry, almost manic, the life of the party and life =is= a party, isn't it? When "down" he may be either glum and melancholy or mad at the whole world, likely to lash out at anyone who pokes at him (usually verbally, but he's also been known to throw things). More often than not, one extreme will be closely followed by the other, as if some inner pendulum had been set swinging and took time to reach equilibrium again.
Clever, quick-thinking, ingenious, good at figuring out the "trick" of something and at three-dimensional visualization. Also good at manipulating things by touch. A skilled mimic and natural clown. A sharp and shrewd bargainer. The sort of person whose room is an ungodly mess (though =he= knows where everything is) but whose workshop is the orderly island in the sea of chaos.
Sexually, a compleat polyamorist and a shameless flirt; a tender, playful, and generous-hearted lover. Figures there may be a One True Love out there for him somewhere, but he's not going to go out looking. In "down" moods, his libido simply switches off. Not interested, go away and leave me alone.
Has a strong affection for both his parents, who shared fairly equally
in his upbringing (Bugdance being one of the few adult elves with the sheer,
manic energy to actually =keep up with= a small child). Ceyte is
the parent he goes to for hugs and physical comfort, Bugdance for talking
about his problems. Gets on well and easily with all races, has a
special affinity for trolls. When he's in a "down" mood, Ironshackle's
blackly-humorous pessimism seems to be just the ticket.
