Everything he feels, he feels intensely, which can make life around him feel like being trapped on a roller-coaster. If he has a pragmatic side, its well-hidden.    His first response to a problem is to dive in headfirst and fix it now, dammit!
    In NH 292, Wasp runs afoul of Mink's bandits and is severely wounded in the process; what is apparently a head wound inflicted by Heron destroys much of his memory and personality and nearly kills him; only Dove's most extraordinary efforts prevent his death.  What exactly Wasp is like post-injury is TBD, but he is not the same elf, and remains severely incapacitated for years afterwards.
